Quillix is a small team of professionals who got tired of watching CA firms lose Saturdays to GSTR-1. So we built the tool we wished existed.
Walk into any mid-sized CA firm on the 8th of the month and you'll see the same picture: three monitors open, two of them are Excel, one is Tally, and someone is on the phone with a client asking for "the sales register, but cleaner this time." The actual filing — the GSTR-1 push, the Tally voucher export, the reconciliation against 2B — gets done in a panic between 6pm on the 10th and midnight on the 11th. Every month. For every client.
That work is not difficult. It is repetitive, mechanical, and unforgiving of small mistakes. A wrong state code costs a B2CS row that should have been B2CL. A missed RCM entry costs an interest notice three quarters later. A Tally voucher entered twice costs an hour of triangulation.
None of this is what a CA firm pays a professional to do. It is what a CA firm pays a professional to supervise. Quillix exists to take the supervision part and turn it into one screen — so the senior gets back the time they were spending checking other people's Excel.
Three things shape every product decision we make:
Quillix is a partnership between a founder studying for the CA Final and a practising CA firm in Chennai. The founder watched the firm's monthly GSTR-1 grind across two full filing cycles before writing a single line of product code. Every design choice in Quillix traces back to something we saw happen on that firm's desks at 11pm on the 10th.
The partnership runs both ways. The firm pressure-tests every piece of accounting and compliance logic before it reaches another firm's books — voucher entries, GSTR-1 JSON shapes, RCM scenarios, B2CL threshold edge cases. The product team writes the software around how the firm actually works, not how a textbook says GST should work. If a feature can't survive a real filing day on the partner firm's clients, it doesn't ship.
We're independent and bootstrapped — no investor pressure, no quarterly growth theatre, no scope creep into adjacent markets we don't understand. We name partner firms in our case studies when they give consent. And we'll be straightforward about where the credentials sit: the CA Final is in progress, the practice partnership is live, and the audit-room hours are not theoretical.
A few principles we hold ourselves to:
The current product handles the sales side of a CA firm's GST cycle — customer masters, stock items, invoice generation, GSTR-1 prep, Tally export. The next 12 months are about closing the loop on the purchase side: Purchase OCR, 2A/2B reconciliation, RCM scenario coverage, and GSTR-3B prep that pulls from both sales and purchases automatically. After that, ITR-prep workflows for the same firms' direct-tax practice.
None of that timeline is a promise. It's the order we're working in. If a CA firm tells us a different workflow is bleeding them more, we listen.
The fastest way to get a real answer about Quillix is to email us. Not a chatbot, not a sales funnel — an actual reply from someone on the team, usually within one working day.
We're a small team — all inbound goes to one inbox so nothing falls through. We'll set up dedicated addresses once volume requires it.
