Bank Export
Shows exactly what your reconciled bank statement will post into Tally — every line as a finished voucher with its debit and credit legs — and then exports it. Nothing here decides anything; it only shows you what was already decided in Bank Reconciliation.
Check the vouchers
Every reconciled bank line rendered as the voucher it will become — Receipt for money in, Payment for money out, Contra for a transfer, each with its ledger postings.
-
Pick the statement you want to export.
-
Work through the Receipts, Payments and Contra groups.
-
For each voucher, read the Dr and Cr legs and the narration — this is literally what lands in the client's books.
Watch the Suspense group
Anything you could not identify during reconciliation is grouped separately, posting to a suspense ledger.
-
Check whether anything has landed in To Suspense.
-
If it has, go back to Bank Reconciliation and categorise those lines properly.
-
Set the suspense ledger name to match the client's Tally chart if you are going to post them anyway.
Export to Tally
-
Confirm the bank ledger name matches the client's Tally company exactly.
-
Download the Excel file for Tally import.
-
Import it into Tally and check the first few vouchers landed on the ledgers you expected.
