How to read these guides
The sidebar here mirrors the app's own — same labels, same order — so a screen you are stuck on is under the name you can see. Entries marked soon are still being written.
Where to start
The app changes shape depending on whether you have a client open. Before you open a client you are looking at your firm: your client list, your staff, your firm-wide reports. Once you've opened a client the sidebar becomes that client's books, and that is where day-to-day work happens.
To open a client: Sidebar › Load Client Data
What you get then depends on the client. A Bookkeeping + GST client gets the full grouped sidebar — Sales, Purchases, Invoicing, Compliance, Accounting and the rest. A GST Filing only client gets a shorter, flat list built around filing. Where the two differ, the guide says so.
Click paths, not links
Quillix screens do not have their own web addresses — there is nothing to bookmark and nothing to link to — so every instruction here is a click path rather than a link:
Sidebar › Compliance › GSTR-1 Return
Follow it in the app's own sidebar. If you would rather not click through it, press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux) to open the command bar and type part of the screen's name. It lists only the screens your role can open, and it will also switch between light and dark, refresh the data, or sign you out.
The part worth learning is that it takes a subject and a period in one go. Type sales for June and you land on Sales History with the June date range already applied, instead of navigating there and then setting the filter. It finds screens, not records — it will take you to Sales History, not to one particular invoice.
Where a screen behaves differently depending on your role, the guide says so. Guides that cover several roles carry a Viewing as control beside the title; choosing a role brings forward the parts that apply to you, and the choice is remembered as you move between pages. Nothing is ever hidden or dimmed — the rest of the page stays exactly as readable.
